Biography | FAQ

Jill Pollack is busy organizing clients in their homes and offices and finished work on the second season of Consumed, a one-hour decluttering / life-changing TV show for HGTV Canada. (See Jill's Blog, the Consumed Facebook page and follow Jill on Twitter.) She was recently a spokesperson for Schick’s Simplicity Campaign and spent two years as the spokesperson for Avery Labels. Both campaigns have focused on helping people declutter, organize and simplify their lives. She has also worked with many other clients on Satellite Media Tours and promotions including Banana Boat and Wet Ones. Jill has been featured on major network programs such as Dr. Oz, Anderson Cooper, Nate Berkus, ET CANADA, Better, New York Live, The Marilyn Denis Show (where she is a regular), Dr. Drew's Life Changers and many more. She had gotten lots of ink publications as Women’s Day, TheNewYorkTimes.com, Men’s Health, Family Circle, Working Mother, WSJ.com, Ladies Home Journal, Prime Magazine, In Style Home, Fitness, Budget Decorating Ideas, and Quick and Simple and has been a regular on Martha Stewart SIRIUS XM Radio as well as AOL.com, FOXNEWS.com, Familyfun.com, TheStirCafeMom.com and SheKnows.com. You can read Jill’s organizing and decluttering tips in several Canadian outlets including The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Sun and Vancouver Sun and see her on all the national morning shows.

Jill became an organizational expert after over thirteen years as a TV producer. She worked at CBS News, The Sally Jessy Raphael Show, Extra, The Queen Latifah Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Gayle King Show, PSEUDO.com, Girls Behaving Badly (to name a few) and ended her illustrious career with the primetime reality show of The Wedding of Trista and Ryan (“The Bachelorette”). Knowing her talent for persuasion and getting things done (she figured if she could boss people around on a TV set, she could do it in their homes), she decided to utilize her highly honed organizational skills to truly help people live their best life by getting rid of clutter in closets, garages, offices, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, junk drawers, cars, purses and beyond.

Jill Pollack considers herself a personal trainer for the home and office. Her clients are people who wish to simplify their lives and want to declutter and get organized. They want to get rid of all the stuff that is literally blocking their path to good mental and physical health. Her philosophy is "to own your stuff, don't let your stuff own you." No area is too daunting for her to handle and she has helped create systems for even the most scattered souls. She has successfully sorted the most fashionista celebrity wardrobes and created order for the busiest offices of agents, managers, writers, producers, lawyers etc. Some of her celebrity clients include the Desperate Housewives actresses Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman, and actress and poker champion Jennifer Tilly. After working with Jill, clients not only report a physical feeling of lightness, but also an amazing surge in psychological well being. They describe a sense of control over their lives and a renewed sense of purpose. Not only do their homes and offices run more smoothly, but they have more focus, motivation and increased productivity. They learn how to get and stay organized.

Jill is energetic, empathetic and tries to make the process as fun as possible, after all, it's exciting to take control of your life! She is also extremely passionate about the environment, recycling and limiting waste of energy and resources. She is very knowledgeable about the environmental movement and can help advise and implement ways to make her clients’ lives and homes as eco-friendly as possible.

She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Columbia University and a Masters in Journalism from NYU and is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).
